Adeline Jean Feeds FLA Announces 2025 Hero of the Year Award Recipient: Brock Boyd

Fort Lauderdale, FL — November 11, 2025 — Adeline Jean Feeds FLA is proud to announce that Brock Boyd has been named the organization’s Hero of the Year Award recipient for 2025. This distinguished honor recognizes an individual who exemplifies extraordinary commitment to community service and consistently demonstrates compassionate dedication to supporting those in need.

The Hero of the Year Award was established to celebrate leaders who voluntarily go above and beyond—lifting others through advocacy, action, and generosity. Boyd’s impact across South Florida embodies the spirit and purpose of the award.

Boyd currently serves as the Director of Marketing Technology at Millionaire Publishing, based in South Florida, where he is known not only for his professional expertise but also for his unwavering commitment to community-focused initiatives.

In addition to his professional role, Boyd serves as President of the Bears of South Florida (BOSFL), one of the region’s most dynamic and active community organizations. Under his leadership, BOSFL boasts a membership of more than 3,400 individuals and a volunteer corps of over 200 dedicated members. The organization hosts dozens of fundraisers each year, offering direct support to individuals and families in need throughout the region. BOSFL also provides critical financial assistance to numerous local nonprofit organizations working to elevate and serve the community.

Adeline Jean Feeds FLA Established

Fort Lauderdale, FL — November 3, 2025 — Living through the Great Depression with her parents and three siblings, Adeline Jean knew hardship. Nothing was easy, food was scarce, and people survived day to day. In her honor, Adeline Jean Feeds FLA has been established in an effort to aid individuals impacted by food insecurities.

The mission of Adeline Jean Feeds FLA is to provide food for the homeless and others in need in greater Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

The initiative will also support those with food insecurities in Los Angeles, CA, via Adeline Jean Feeds LA.

Adeline Jean Feeds FLA is a grassroots campaign operated without any administrative or salary costs. All donations are categorized as restricted funds and go directly to the purchase of food only.

“Growing up with food insecurities, I remember my mother, Adeline Jean, looking for discarded soft drink bottles so that she could turn them in for money to buy milk and bread. As a child, I witnessed her going without to make sure I had something to eat, usually by scraping together loose change. I cannot count the number of times she did not have enough money to buy the meager amount of food she tried to purchase at the local market, only to face the embarrassment of having to put things back.

“While my Mother left us on Christmas Eve in 2002, her selflessness and kindness have not been forgotten. In her honor, I have established Adeline Jean Feeds FLA and Adeline Jean Feeds LA because no one should ever go hungry. The vision of the charity is to help end world hunger.

“Mother Teresa once said, ‘If you can’t feed a hundred people, then feed just one.’ When it comes to helping those who are hungry, that simple truth has always been Adeline Jean’s North Star,” said founder Robert Cole.
